Morrison Leaves Tasmanians Behind

With the worst unemployment rate in the country, Tasmanians are being left behind by the Morrison Liberal Government.

Tasmania’s shocking 8.2 per cent unemployment rate confirmed by the ABS compares to 7 per cent nationally. Our participation rate is also the lowest in the country.

“The Government can’t keep blaming COVID for its failure to manage the economy on behalf of all Australians,” said federal Labor MP Brian Mitchell.

“Every state has to deal with COVID but only Tasmania has an unemployment rate with an eight in front of it.

“Tasmanians are being left behind because the Morrison government has no jobs plan for Tasmania. Scott Morrison has an announcement plan but not a delivery plan.

“Seven years of failed Liberal management shows they’re not up to the massive challenges our nation faces.”
