Federal Member for Lyons Brian Mitchell MP has called for applications to Round 6 of the Safer Communities Fund.
Round 6 of the Safer Communities Fund is split in two different streams – Early Intervention Grants and Infrastructure Grants.
Early Intervention Grants funding targets organisations with experience in providing early intervention activities to youth at high risk to prevent them from engaging in criminal activity or anti-social behaviour.
Grants from $10,000 to $500,000 are available to schools and pre-schools, places of worship, community organisations and local councils.

Infrastructure Grants funding gives schools and pre-schools, places of religious worship, community organisations and local councils grants of up to $500,000 for crime prevention initiatives aimed at reducing crime, violence, anti-social behaviour and/or other security risks driven by racial and/or religious intolerance.
Grants from $200,000 to $1.5 million are available to organisations experienced in proving early intervention activities to youth at high risk.
